PRE-LICENSURE COURSES

These Pre-Licensure courses are State approved and comply with State Education Requirements for Licensure. Once the student has successfully completed the course and final examination, his/her name will be sent to the State of Florida Department of Insurance indicating eligibility to sit for the State Licensing Examination.

2-15 Life, Health and Annuities Pre-Licensing {36 hours online - 4 hrs in classroom (Final Exam)}

Become a licensed insurance agent without the loss of production income and time. Work at your own pace with your instructor available via e-mail, chat room, fax, or telephone. The first 36 hours of this state-approved course will be on-line via the Internet. The final four hours will be in the classroom for a review and exam before you are eligible for the state examination. It is designed and taught to comply with the State requirements for Life, Health and Annuities education prior to State examination. Topics covered include: Federal and State Regulations, Legal Concepts of the Insurance Contract, Life, and Health Insurance, Annuities, Health and Accident Insurance, Disability and Medical Reimbursement. This course is intensive, and requires you to complete all course material before sitting for the final exam at SFCC. If you do not complete the material in time, you will have to re-register for the class and sit the exam in the next session. Please verify your presence at the course final by calling 352.395.5896 72 hours in advance of the exam. Once you show successful completion of the in-course final, you may take the state exam for licensure. 2-20 Property & Casualty / General Lines Pre-Licensing

Become a licensed insurance property and casualty agent without the loss of production income and time. Work at your own pace with your instructor available via e-mail, chat room, fax, or telephone. The 200 hours of this state-approved course will be on-line via the Internet. The final monitored exam will be in the classroom. It is designed and taught to comply with the State requirements for General Lines Agents State examination. Topics covered include: Automobile, Property Insurance, Inland Marine, Crime, Workers Compensation, General Liability, Health Insurance, Aviation, and State Law. You must successfully complete the 200 hours of classroom instruction and a classroom exam, and then pass the state exam. Pre-registration is required. You may access courseware 24 / 7, but must complete the training before the SFCC-proctored test. If you have not finished the coursework before the final exam, you must re-register for the class and sit for the exam in the next session. You cannot sit for the state exam without showing successful completion of the course final. The current edition of the Florida General Lines Agent and Customer Representative Study Manual is required and may be ordered by calling 850-893-4155. 5-20, 6-20 - Accredited Claims Adjuster Designation Course

Become a licensed Accredited Claims Adjuster agent to obtain your license to adjust property and casualty claims without the loss of production income and time. Work at your own pace with your instructor available via e-mail, fax, or telephone. The 40hrs of this state-approved course is on-line via the Internet. The final proctored exam will be in the classroom. It is designed and taught to comply with the State requirements for Accredited Claims Adjuster examination. After completion of this course, you will receive the Accredited Claims Adjuster designation which allows you to apply to the Department of Insurance for your (5-20) Independent Adjuster, or (6-20) Employee Adjuster license and WAIVES the State exam.

4-40 - Registered Customer Service Representative Designation

Become a licensed insurance property and casualty customer representative without the loss of production income and time. Work at your own pace with your instructor available via e-mail, fax, or telephone. The 40 hours of this state-approved course is on-line via the Internet. The final monitored exam will be in the classroom. It is designed and taught to comply with the State requirements for Customer Representative State examination. After completion of this course, you will receive the Customer Service Representative designation which allows you to apply to the Department of Insurance for your license and waive the State exam. Topics covered include: Automobile, Property Insurance, Inland Marine, Crime, Workers Compensation, General Liability, Health Insurance, and State Law.
